When is the best time to overseed in Pennsylvania?+
Late August through mid-October. Soil is still warm, nights cool off, and weed competition is low.
How long until new grass appears?+
Fescue germinates in 7–14 days, bluegrass in 14–21. Full fill-in takes about two months.
How much does overseeding cost?+

How often should I water new seed?+
Light watering once or twice daily to keep the top half-inch damp until germination, then deeper and less often.
